Initially, we had our doubts about sending Shahira to school at such a tender age -only 16 months ! However, after the 1 st week, we realized that she was enjoying herself in class as there were so many hands-on activities for the children to do. There wasn’t a time when they just lazed around and were bored.

The teachers in the toddler class are experienced, loving and caring. They reach out to every individual child and are willing to go the extra mile for them. Shahira’s social skills has also taken a leap as she is given the opportunity to mingle with her own age group peers daily. Her self-help skills has improved as she is encouraged to feed herself during lunch time. The dedicated staff are a tribute to the Director, Mr Francis’ management and organization.

When Kevyn was enrolled with Carpe Diem for the K1 class in July 2005, she wasn’t very comfortable speaking Mandarin. Hence, we were surprised and delighted that in less than half a year, she is able to speak Mandarin in great confidence and has made great progress in building her interest in the language. We are glad and very sure that Kevyn likes the centre as she told us that she wants to go to school every day and would like her younger sister to enroll into her centre. She told us that she loves the lessons conducted, especially the Solar System and the Digestive System. She shared with us the details of each particular planets (in English and Chinese) and how the digestive system works.

We greatly appreciate the time and effort that the teachers spent with Kevyn and would like to thank the teachers for making Carpe Diem a wonderful centre for early learning and I am sure it will instilled in her memory of her childhood days.
