Knowing
that each child is unique, our
Multiple
Intelligence (MI)
based curriculum endeavours to
accentuate your child’s
strengths and abilities. The
philosophy behind this
approach is to better
understand and embrace your
child’s natural inclination
towards their own
potentiality.
The
theory of MI
allows the exploration of
gifts your child innately
possesses, which may not be
discovered through
conventional means. Some show
special strengths in
linguistic and logical
intelligences (academic
ability) while others display
ingenuity in other areas.
Their very own way of thinking
and learning will be given a
chance to flourish given the
various approaches through MI.
With
the 8
different intelligences
incorporated into their daily
activities at our centres,
the development of your child
is tracked using our very own
MI assessment methodology.
Together with the meticulous
efforts of our teachers, this
combination aims to arrive at
providing your child with the
right tools and environment to
thrive.
We
are the first childcare centre
to truly incorporate MI
into
early childhood learning. MI
theory,
first introduced by Dr Howard
Gardner (Harvard University),
recognizes that a child has
different intelligence
(abilities). To bring out the
best in any child, the
education method should
provide opportunities for
children to thrive in areas
where they have high
intelligence.
Recognising that MI
is
adding value to the education
system, many schools (primary
and secondary), which are
spearheading the integrated
programmes for their students,
have applied MI
to
their curriculum. With Carpe
Diem
Group, your child is therefore
assured of a head start in
many of these schools.
